One of EPIC’s strengths is its ability and willingness to link with other community organizations, projects, agencies and institutions. These connections enhance not only EPIC’s initiatives and those of the partners but also the overall delivery of services to our community by increasing understanding and by transcending the usual boundaries dividing educational, social, cultural and legal domains. EPIC is proud of these collaborations and highly values the managerial insights, client referrals, and cooperation of the partner agencies that are assisting with our current initiatives.
Youth Peer and Parents PEACE Management Team
With EPIC serving as the sponsoring, financial and administrative organization for the Youth Peer and Parents PEACE programs, the following twenty partners join EPIC, Youth Peer and Parents PEACE staff and volunteer representatives to make up the Management Team which provides community oversight, advice and support. This impressive list of agencies represents a full spectrum of social services within the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The team meets regularly over lunch to share information and provide input on the projects. As well, the Management Team partner agencies make all the referrals of youth to Youth Peer and are regularly called on to provide speakers for the Parents PEACE sessions.
